Elijah Wood gained professional attention when he played Aidan Quinn’s son in Avalon – an acclaimed film that was nominated for four Academy Awards.
Elijah is best known for his role as the hobbit Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy – a series of fantasy films that includes The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002), and The Return of the King (2003). These film adaptations, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel The Lord of the Rings and directed by Peter Jackson, were nominated for 30 Academy Awards and won 17, setting a record for a film trilogy.
After the success of The Lord of the Rings, Elijah starred in films such as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, Green Street and the first film in the Hobbit trilogy, again directed by Peter Jackson.
On Friday May 9th and Saturday May 10th you can take a photo with the star or get an autograph.
