Come and meet the legendary animator Shinya Ohira at Comic Con Finland on May 10-12th. Visit him in his own booth for autographs and photos on the Comic Village area, and don’t miss his Q&A together with Takahiro Yoshimatsu on the Heroes Main Stage on all three days! All you need is an entry ticket to Comic Con Finland.
Shinya Ohira is one of the most talented and legendary animators in the anime world, mainly known for his work on Studio Ghibli’s films (Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Porco Rosso, The Wind Rises, Only Yesterday). During his career spanning more than 50 years, Ohira has collaborated with well-known animation directors such as Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Masaaki Yuasa (Samurai Champloo, Tatami Galaxy) and Yoshiyuki Tomino (Gundam). In addition, he has developed a completely unique style of animation depicting movement, Ohira “wobble”, in which animated objects expand and compress in a wobbling manner.
In his booth, there will be various prints available for purchase that you can get signed by Shinya Ohira! You can also choose to bring your own anime box set/bluray/DVD/object for him to sign and/or ask for a selfie with the legend himself.
Signatures and selfies are completely free, all you need is an entrance ticket.
